Everyone feels nervous, sad, or angry at times. There are many situations where these feelings are perfectly healthy and normal. However, if your behavior, thoughts, and/or feelings are interfering with your functioning or your relationships, or if you have tried unsuccessfully to make changes in your life, then you may benefit from psychotherapy.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative, relationship-based process that focuses on alleviating emotional pain. Talking with a therapist can help decrease psychological distress, alter unhealthy thinking and behavior, improve relationships, and create solutions to life’s problems. The overall objective is to feel better and live a happier, healthier, and more productive life.
For almost 30 years, I have provided Individual Psychotherapy to adults ages 21 and older. I have helped patients improve as they recognize their problems, understand themselves, and make important life changes that enhance the quality of their lives.
